After having to cancel their previous tour date at The Sylvee in November, the day has finally come that Falling in Reverse hits the stage in Madison. Joining Falling in Reverse on the The Drug in Me Is Gold Tour is Escape the Fate and The Word Alive. With as quickly as tickets for this show had sold out, its clear that this performance was highly anticipated.
The Word Alive was set to kick the night off, and boy did they. The venue, which was already packed full of excited fans, exploded once they started their first song, ”Trapped”. Though their set was short, the entire band made the best of every minute and were constantly fueled by the energy from the crowd.

After a quick set change, Escape the Fate took the stage next. From the reactions of the audience, one would think that Escape the Fate was the main headliner of the night. Once the guys in the band hit the stage, they didn’t stop moving the entire performance. Just like the band, the crowd didn’t stop moving much of the performance either and for much of the performance the venue floor was a moving mosh pit.

By the time Falling in Reverse took the stage, saying everyone inside of The Sylvee lost their mind would be a complete understatement. The last time Falling in Reverse was in the area was in 2015 when they performed at JJO’s Sonic Boom in Janesville, Wisconsin; It’s fantastic to see that vocalist Ronnie Radke is still as lively and full of energy as he was five years ago. The moment Radke came out on stage, all eyes were on him. The show the night prior was cancelled due to illness, and The frontman even made a statement about being ill and sweating it out.
Falling in Reverse’s setlist consisted of a variety of songs, both new and old; The night was topped of with the bands newest singles, “Popular Monster”, “Drugs” and finished with ”Just Like You”. All in all, this show kicked some serious ass and it was a treat to see both Escape the Fate and Falling in Reverse share the same stage. There are only a few dates left on this tour, though it was mentioned that the band will be going out on tour again following this one. If you’re lucky enough to have gotten tickets before nearly every tour date on this run sold out, make sure not to miss it!
