On a rainy Monday in November (that means its frigid), the local hometown boys in Soldiers of Solace came to town to play with touring musicians Sleep Signals on their "One-off," which in the industry means, it's really the tour package's night off.
In this case, a few weeks earlier, Inside the Setlist was approached and Sleep Signals were looking to find a play to play while driving through the area on tour with Atreyu, Memphis May Fire, and Ice Nine Kills. We happened to know of a place that was absolutely thrilled to have them come. On a Monday, its tough to get people to a show, especially if its the exact bar that the very night before was a packed house for David Ellefson of Megadeth.
Despite the cold and rainy weather, the turnout was enough to make the place rock! Soldiers of Solace played for an hour while everyone geared up to see Sleep Signals' first time in Connecticut. The boys from Minnesota came on stage promptly at 9:45 and ripped it apart for an hour! Set up with a Co2 show, forward facing stage lights, and risers that lit up, these guys played a hell of a performance to the intimate crowd. We caught up with vocalist Robert Cosgrove after the show and spoke with him. Check that out HERE.
